Air pollution, exacerbated by the consumption of fossil fuels, poses a major threat to public health and sustainable development. Following rapid industrialization and urbanization, Morocco has experienced a significant increase in energy demand, primarily met by fossil fuels. This energy growth has undoubtedly contributed to the country's economic development by boosting industrial production, transportation, and infrastructure. However, this reliance on fossil fuels has also led to major environmental challenges, including increased greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants. In the face of these challenges, it is necessary to analyse the consequences of fossil fuel consumption on Morocco's economic growth and environmental sustainability. Our contribution aims to explore this complex relationship by analyzing quantitative data on fossil fuel consumption and economic growth indicators.
