Abstract

Digital transformation has profoundly reshaped the banking sector by enhancing efficiency and innovation through the integration of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and big data. This study is based on a bibliometric analysis conducted with Biblioshiny (RStudio), applied to the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The corpus consists of 759 articles generating 1,796 citations, grouped into four main clusters: process automation, customer adoption of digital technologies, integration of data management systems, and digital maturity. The findings reveal that digitalization improves key performance indicators such as ROA, ROE, and CIR, while also highlighting the growing importance of customer experience and service personalization. The study further emphasizes the challenges associated with cybersecurity and initial investment requirements.
