This article aims to understand how socio-economic management control contributes to the modernization of public organizations management in the context of the Moroccan public sector through two case studies.
The results of the intra-case analysis underline the contributions of socio-economic management in improving economic and social performance: establishing management based on trust, regenerating social dialogue, valuing human capital, sharing strategic and operational management, establishing dynamic management, and improving decision-making.
Therefore, the inter-case analysis shows other preconditions for the implementation of socio-economic management control. They act as accelerators for modernization projects through socio-economic management in public organizations, particularly in the context of the Moroccan public sector.
